Sony’s KLV-32U100M
In CES 2006, Sony unvieled 7 models of the latest in Sony’s Bravia LCD lines and KLV-32U100M is one of them. This is a 32 inch LCD system and it can be used as a pc monitor or TV.
As a TV it is a HDTV, meaning it is designed to receive HD and standard TV signals via seperate tuner boxes (cable or satellite). According to Sony these models provide exceptional value and performance.
The KLV-32U100M has a 1,366 x 768 resolution and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. The response time is unknown at the moment but is expected to be like the previous Bravia models of 8ms. Both sets are equipped with ample inputs like HDMI, component, two composite and a PC input. There are two speakers and these are placed at the bottom. This arrangement is a space saving feature. The speakers are of 10 watts each thus giving a combined output of 20 Watts and they are surround sound capable. The selling price is about $1700.
