Samsung On A War Path
Samsung’s desire to conquer the HD flat panel arena is no secret and is on the war path this year by lining up no less than six new models of both LCDs and plasmas TVs to the market from April 2007 onwards. And one such model is Samsung PS50Q97HDX, a 50-inch Plasma TV.

The PS50Q97HDX , is an example of Samsung commitment to garb a larger share of the plasma market. Weighting at 44 Kg, it comes ready with a shivel base where all it takes is just get it out of the box and straight to your TV furniture. The model comes with Samsung’s patented Ultra Filterbright anti-reflective film. THis is a special technology which works by absorbing external light and allowing internal light coming from the TV to pass through. Perhaps this technology can further enhance the picture brightness.
Connection wise, PS50Q97HDX has suffcient connection interfaces. The connections are two HDMI, one VGA, two Scarts, one component and one RF connection. There is audio output connection where you can choose to output analogue or digital audio from the TV.
It is reported that this model is pitched directly against Panasonic’s TH50PX70, and it’s all round performance make it firmly in the same class that the best Panasonic has to offer but less expensive. Well let’s see if this true from users feedback in the near future.
