3 New Panasonic Plasma TV’s
Panasonic introduces 3 new Plasma TV models to it’s Viera lines. The models are TH-50PX60 ,TH-42PX60 and TH-37PX60. Screen dimension ranges from 37 to 50 inch. No much details are revealed yet but from the contrast ratio of 4000 : 1, this is an improvement over Panasonic TH42PV500 of 3000:1 which was mentioned in this site in an earlier post.

Panasonic presents 3 new HD Ready Viera Link entry-level TV’s: the TH-50PX60 (50″, 1366×768), the TH-42PX60 (42″, 1024×768) and the TH-37PX60 (37″, 1024×720), all with a 4000:1 contrast ratio.
And a seperate note, LCD has finally caught up with CRT in terms of image quality. The break through is achieved by eCinema Systems. This is another good news for LCD TV fans further to the report of price drops for LCD TVs earlier.

LCD panels have traditionally been lagging behind CRT monitors in terms of color response, saturation, accuracy and overall black-level response. Because LCDs are “always lit” by a backlight, deep dark blacks have been the Achilles heel of LCD technology. However, a company named eCinema Systems has announced a new LCD technology that it claims surpasses CRT in virtually every respect.
