This Panasonic Plasma television is in the Top 10 Hi-Def gadget list of T3 Magazine website. The TH42PV500 is a 42 inch plasma TV of 16:9 aspect ratio and comes with a resolution of1024 x 720. It’s HD ready, meaning it is capable of displaying HD signals. However to receive HD TV signals, a tuner box is required which is sold seperately.
What make this plasma tv stands out is the amazing 8.6 billion colours as a result of Panasonic’s Viera Colour Management System. And with a contrast ratio of 3000:1, there’s no problem for the unit in producing sharp and clear images in bright scenes or dark scenes.
Good cinematic sounds are provided by the sound system and the two side speakers with built-in woofer. Connection options are aplenty with SD card slots, D-sub and 3 SCART sockets. The SD card slots is located on the front panel which make it easy to connect to other digital devices like digital camera and to view images on the screen.
