Prices of LCD TVs Fell between 14% -17%

Some see there’s a glut of LCD flat tvs and some not. What ever they see, the good news is the survey done by iSuppli showed price drop of 32 to 42 inch LCD flat tvs. That’s good news for consumers but not so good news for some of the flat tv chips manufacturers.

Trident Micro stock sinks amid LCD-TV demand concerns - MarketWatch

Indeed, research firm iSuppli earlier this month boosted its 2006 LCD TV panel shipment forecast to 46.7 million units, up from its prior target of 41.9 million units.

The research group cited dramatic price reductions and increased consumer demand. From January to May, average prices for a 32-inch LCD TVs fell 17%, while prices for 42-inch screens fell 14%.
